As CEO, Ana-Marie is responsible for directing and executing the company's organisational strategy.
Ana brings over 25 years of broad banking and financial services experience, including a decade in the local and global Wealth teams at ANZ Bank. At ANZ, Ana had a number of strategic and executive roles across insurance and investments, including executive responsibility for New Zealand's largest KiwiSaver Scheme and accountability for strategic decisions and performance of the wealth product suite. She also spent a further 10 years in commercial and product functions at Henderson Global Investors in London. Ana has held governance roles for Pie Funds, ANZ Samoa and the Financial Service Council, and most recently was CEO of AA Money.

Mike is the Founder and CIO of Pie Funds, as well as Chairman of the Investment Committee. As CIO, he focuses on investment decisions and ensuring Pie’s investment strategy continues to be implemented successfully. Mike is also the Portfolio Manager for a number of Pie's products.
Prior to starting Pie Funds in 2007, he worked in a variety of roles in the financial industry both here and in the UK, including as a banking analyst for HBOS and an equities dealer for ABN Amro. Having purchased his first shares at the age of eighteen, Mike went on to grow his own personal portfolio and then that of friends and family, before starting Pie Funds about ten years later.
Mike is a substantial shareholder of Pie Funds.
Chief Operating Officer

Anna is the Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for overseeing People and Culture, Governance, Legal, Compliance and Risk at Pie Funds.
Prior to joining Pie, Anna was Chief Operating Officer for a listed boutique investment bank in London. She has also advised companies on strategic regulatory change, legal and business transformation matters. Anna also spent a decade in senior legal roles for Barclays in London and sub-Saharan Africa.
Anna originally qualified as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand and re-qualified as a solicitor in England. She has a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Commerce from Otago University and a Master of Science from Oxford University in the UK.

Guy is responsible for researching and conducting detailed analysis of British, European and global companies. He is also the Head of Global Research and Senior Analyst for the Global Growth Fund, Global Growth 2 Fund and Growth UK & Europe Fund.
Prior to joining Pie in 2018, Guy worked at Ruffer LLP in the UK, and then in Hong Kong as a portfolio manager, covering global equity markets. Guy holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from Oxford University in the UK, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Grant is the Head of Product and Operations, responsible for overseeing Pie Funds’ products strategy and market operations function.
With 20 years of financial services experience, Grant joined Pie Funds in 2023. Previously, Grant held pivotal roles on the ANZ Funds Management Leadership Team overseeing product, and prior to that in Investment Operations at ANZ.
Grant holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Auckland University, a Post Graduate Diploma majoring in Finance and Marketing, and is a Chartered Accountant.

Michelle is head of the Pie Funds Australasian team, based in Sydney. She is the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Australasian Growth 2 Fund and the Co-Portfolio Manager for the Australasian Emerging Fund and the Chairman's Fund, and responsible for implementation of the Australasian investment strategy, portfolios, and team.
Prior to joining the company in 2023, Michelle was Head of Australian Equities at abrdn, where she worked for 18 years.
Michelle has been researching and investing in equity markets for close to two decades, including significant small cap experience. She has managed a team for many years as well as played an integral role in providing strategic insights for abrdn’s Australian business as Director.
Prior to abrdn, Michelle was a quantitative analyst at Willis Towers Watson.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University, Sydney. She is a CFA charterholder.

Travis is responsible for research and portfolio management of the company’s fixed income strategies. He is the Lead Portfolio Manager for the Fixed Income Fund and the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Conservative Fund, and the Pie KiwiSaver Scheme Funds.
Prior to joining the company in 2022, Travis was a Portfolio Manager at Milford Asset Management. Before that, he worked in a variety of roles in the UK, including as Portfolio Manager at JP Morgan Asset Management and Cairn Capital.
Travis holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in finance and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Otago.

Mike is the Lead Portfolio Manager of the Australasian Dividend Growth Fund and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Australian Growth Fund.
Mike has been the lead Portfolio Manager of the Australasian Dividend Growth Fund since 2018. He joined Pie in 2015 as an investment analyst.
Mike holds a Master of Commerce (Finance) and BA (Media & Communications) from the University of New South Wales.

Toby is responsible for researching and conducting detailed analysis on British, European and global companies.
He is a Senior Analyst for the Global Growth Fund, Global Growth 2 Fund, Growth UK & Europe Fund and Property & Infrastructure Fund.
Prior to joining Pie in 2019, Toby worked in equity sales with a focus on selling European small and mid cap equities into the London investment community. Toby has 15 years’ experience working at Berenberg, Morgan Stanley and, most recently, Hauck & Aufhaeuser.
Toby holds a MSc in History (Hons) from Edinburgh University.

Michael is the Lead Portfolio Manager of the Australasian Growth Fund and the Co-Portfolio Manager of the Australasian Dividend Growth Fund. He is also responsible for conducting research on Australasian equities.
Prior to joining Pie, Michael worked at Ophir Asset Management as a Portfolio Manager. Before that, he was previously based in London, working as head of Citi’s UK Small & Mid Cap equity research team.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce with Majors in Actuarial Studies and Finance from the University of New South Wales. He is a CFA charterholder.

James has overall responsibility for client relationships, and is authorised to provide financial advice and recommendations to clients.
Prior to joining Pie in 2018, James was Head of Advice at Fisher Funds Management in Auckland.
James holds a Bachelor of Business Studies from Unitec in Auckland, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Services from Kaplan in Australia, and is a Financial Adviser.

Prior to joining Pie in 2018, Simon worked at Westpac in Auckland as an Executive Financial Adviser.
Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland, a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies endorsed in Financial Planning from Massey University, the Certified Financial Planner designation through the Institute of Financial Advisers and is a Financial Adviser.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He is also a Chartered Accountant and a Financial Adviser.

Kent is the Lead Portfolio Manager of the Australasian Emerging Companies Fund and Co-Portfolio Manager of the Australasian Growth 2 Fund.
Prior to joining Pie in 2022, Kent spent eight years in AMP Capital’s Sydney-based small cap team as an Analyst. Before that, he worked at Suncorp as an Investment Analyst.
Kent holds a Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance from the University of Technology, Sydney.
He is also a Certified Financial Risk Manager.

Matt is responsible for conducting research on global equities and providing investment recommendations for the international funds. He is an Analyst for the Property & Infrastructure Fund.
Prior to joining Pie in 2020, Matt worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Shareclarity.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours from the University of Canterbury and is a CFA charterholder.

Amanda is responsible for providing centralised dealing on behalf of the Investment Team.
Prior to joining Pie in 2015, Amanda worked for one of the London’s leading dispute resolution teams.

Andrew is responsible for conducting research on global equities, with a focus on US small cap, and providing investment recommendations suitable for the global funds.
Prior to joining Pie in 2022, Andrew was an analyst at RWC Partners, covering UK and European equities, and prior to that worked at Berenberg in equity research.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Head of Client Management
David is responsible for leading the Client Management team to provide outstanding experiences for existing and potential Pie Funds clients.
Prior to joining Pie in 2021, David worked at ASB as a Business Development Manager in the Wealth division. Before that he worked as a Senior Branch Manager at Natwest in the UK, looking after some of their biggest branches in South West London.
David is a shareholder of Pie Funds.

Greg is responsible for researching global equities, focusing on the Asia Pacific and US markets. Greg is also leading Pie’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) analysis.
Prior to joining Pie in 2022, Greg was Head of Research and a Senior Portfolio Manager at Eastspring Investments in South Korea. He held this role for nine years. Prior to this, he was an equity research analyst.
Greg holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons), majoring in Economics, from the University of Auckland.

Andrew is part of the leadership team and responsible for setting brand strategy and implementing it.
He joined in Pie Funds at the start of 2020, bringing over 25 years’ experience as a senior digital marketing leader. Andrew has held senior marketing executive roles at Frucor Beverages through to large complex multinational environments at Kraft/Cadbury and Tourism New Zealand. Andrew has a proven track record in developing digital, data, market and product strategy, through brand and innovation programs, to deliver outstanding commercial results.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland.

Roger has had an extensive career in New Zealand’s financial and investment markets, spanning four decades, including corporate treasury management consultancy with Bancorp, Asia-Pacific Risk Management and PwC. Roger’s previous governance roles include Board Chairman of Trust Investments Management, board member of the National Provident Fund and being on the advisory board of the New Zealand Government Debt Management Office.
Roger has been a director of PieFunds since 2009.
Since early 2019, Roger has beenthe Executive Chairman of Barrington Treasury Services NZ Limited. Roger is currently the Board Chair of the Melanesian Mission Trust Board.
Relationship Manager

Amelia is responsible for managing client relationships and ongoing business development.
Prior to joining Pie in 2019, Amelia worked at Western Union Business Solutions as both a Foreign Exchange Dealer, and a Business Development Manager.
Amelia holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Diploma in Languages from the University of Auckland, as well as the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) specialising in Investments.
Relationship Manager(BCOM, GDBS FIN)
Sam is responsible for managing client relationships and ongoing business development.
Prior to joining Pie in 2019, Sam worked at New Zealand’s largest Asset finance specialist UDC Finance in Auckland as a Commercial Manager and prior to this was an Associate Sales Representative at GE Capital.
Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago and a Graduate Diploma in Business Studies endorsed in Finance from Massey University.
Independent Non-Executive Director and Board Chair
Matt specialises in investment markets and risk management, bringing over 25 years of domestic and international Investment Management and Financial Markets experience.
Matt has held several strategic and executive roles, the most recent being at local brokerage firm OM Financial, where he was CEO. He also held a governance role with Medi-Map NZ, a Medtech startup, which was sold in 2023. Prior to this Matt worked in Corporate Treasury at the Bank of New Zealand, Credit Trading at the National Australia Bank (“NAB”) in Melbourne and NAB Hong Kong managing Interest Rate Trading and Structuring in the Asian region. He also spent nine years at Deutsche Bank Singapore, where he finished as Managing Director and Co-Head of Asian Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Commodities Sales.
Matt has been a member of the New Zealand Markets Disciplinary Tribunal since 2017 as well as a member of the Special Division. Matt holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Banking from Massey University. Matt is also on the Board of Auckland Thoroughbred Racing.

Prior to joining Pie in 2019, Shannon was the Chief Financial Officer at communications technology company, Pyrios.

Clara is responsible for providing outstanding experiences for existing and potential Pie Funds clients.
Prior to joining the company in 2019, Clara worked at an International Baccalaureate school in Auckland as a classroom teacher and across school leader. She is a New Zealand registered teacher. She also holds the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) specialising in investments,

Investor Support Team Leader

Mandy is responsible for leading the team of support specialists in administrative and operational tasks within the Client Management Team.
Prior to joining Pie Funds in 2020, Mandy worked as a Claims and Data Assistant at CBL Insurance. Before that, she worked in Client Services in the financial services and insurance industry in South Africa.
Mandy holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Higher Diploma in Education (HDE) from the University of the Western Cape in South Africa.
Cecilia brings broad brand, marketing and business strategy experience to the Board. She's been involved with Pie Funds as a business consultant for a number of years, joining the Board in November 2019.
Cecilia is a serial entrepreneur, founding Au Pair Link, My Food Bag and - more recently - Tend Health, with her husband, James.
After serving as Co-CEO with her husband at My Food Bag for six years, the couple resigned in 2018 to focus on family, other business opportunities and philanthropic work. The Robinsons continue as shareholders of My Food Bag, and Cecilia is also a founding trustee of the Princes Trust NZ.
Independent Non-Executive Director(BCOM)
Brenden brings over 30 years of experience across multiple industries including electricity, information technology, manufacturing and export.
Brenden has held board governance positions along with various subcommittee roles, including Audit & Risk and Remuneration subcommittees, since 2002. Brenden is a director of Longbeach Holdings, the Christchurch-based parent company of iconic New Zealand clothing brand, Swanndri.
In addition to his Board roles, Brenden provides advisory services in strategy development, mergers and acquisitions, and export market development to a range of clients.

Client Services Manager
Erwin is responsible for managing client relationships as well as providing outstanding experiences to existing and potential clients. Prior to joining PIE in August 2023, Erwin worked at Fisher Funds, where he provided advice to both KiwiSaver and Managed Funds clients. Prior to this, he was a Client Consultant/KiwiSaver Specialist at AMP New Zealand.
Erwin holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Electronics & Communications Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology in the Philippines. He also holds the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) specialising in Investments.
Investment Support Specialist
Prishana and her family moved from South Africa to New Zealand in 2022. Prior to joining Pie Funds, Prishana worked at Somerset Smith Partners in Napier. Before that, Prishana was at Investec Bank Ltd for 16 years, the last 7 years being in the Wealth and Investment division.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, majoring in Legal Studies and Industrial Psychology.
Victoria is responsible for providing outstanding experiences for existing and potential Pie Funds clients.

Dominic is responsible for providing centralised dealing on behalf of the investment team.
Dominic joined Pie in 2021 after graduating from the University of Otago with Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and Bachelor of Science (Mathematics) degrees.
Before joining Pie, Dominic lived in Santa Barbara, California, completing his studies through an exchange programme at the University of California.
Dominic is a shareholder of Pie Funds.

Quinn is an Investment Analyst in the Australasian Equities team primarily supporting the Australasian Growth 2 Fund and the Australasian Dividend Growth Fund.
Prior to joining Pie in 2023, he worked at Ellerston Capital as a Senior Investment Analyst. Before that, he worked in sell-side equity research in Sydney, most recently at Credit Suisse leading the #2 ranked Australian Technology team and the top-3 ranked Small Cap team. Prior to Credit Suisse, Quinn held similar roles at Macquarie and JPMorgan primarily covering the small caps and consumer sectors.
Quinn graduated from Virginia Tech University with a major in Finance.
